Chantelle’s interest in the balance of human and soil health, combined with practical hands on farming experience, works alongside those who want to go further with their farm health.

He changed his farm over to organic early before it was a trend, so he has immense experience in working through the hurdles involved. He can help you with your decision making, and if you choose to convert, he can take you through the process of turning your farm and practice into an organic one.

Rebecca was introduced to Soil Matters as ‘the grape girl’ over a decade ago. Today, the level of expertise she developed is an asset for every vineyard she works with. Rebecca has an unlimited drive to let vines live up to their potential, using natural inputs, and with respect to what nature can do.

Lachy brings a lifetime of experience in fruit growing, in both organic and contemporary systems, across a range of crop types. Having worked in production, management and advisory roles, Lachy brings a practical perspective to operational issues, and discussions around ways to improve any production system.

Jeffrey is a great example of the importance of the ‘cog in the wheel’. From previously coordinating product flow for a steel manufacturing company, it was the opportunity to be involved in future proofing NZ food production that made him want to change to this exciting industry. His calm and steady hand, along with the in-house systems he has developed, ensures all orders and logistics coordination for both the team and our clients are taken care of.

Hana is combining her passion for the environment with her experience in creating Digital and GIS tools. She is developing a digital platform so that the team can capture, analyse, access, and communicate information in the smartest way possible.

Involves completing thorough assessments of the soil and listening to the farmers' goals. You will gather all the information that you, and the rest of the team, need to understand a particular situation. You are then able to identify the options for the farmer to improve their soil and crop health and help future proof their farm. What a great job!
